i've tried to find the bird sanctuary it (people magazine circa 1988) mentions and there is a sort of bird sanctuary out on hancock road up in the taconic mountains bordering ny called forbush wildlife sanctuary
curiously, the robinsons had a house way out on hancock road near my uncle loyd
'Their second son, David, was born in 1967 in Laguna Beach, Calif., where they were living at Webb’s parents’ house. Three years later they purchased a $65,000 home in Williamstown, but, after a few weeks, decided to give that one away too, to the Audubon Society. '

idk where it was located which makes it all more intriguing to me
'david webb' was jason bourne's real name in robert ludlum's ' the bourne ultimatum'
'They headed back East, this time to Williamstown, Mass., where they paid $65,000 cash for a spacious three-story brick house. Within a matter of days, they gave it to the Massachusetts Audubon Society. ("I wish we knew why we felt so uncomfortable with it," Fred says today.)'
